The paper presents opportunities offered by using projection techniques in identifying convictions of people subject to group psychotherapy. The creation process of, projection situations and rules of their interpretation in cognitive terms has been shown using specific examples. The entirety of it has been set in the framework of a case study, relating the undertaken activities to a specific person subject to research and their problem. The presented approach fits into the trend of eclectic conceptions of psychotherapy.
