On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of founding of the Krakow Therapy Centre the author presents a brief history of ideas, events and people who took part in creating an innovative in that time model of psychotherapeutic work within the Polish education system. The roots of it go back to 1972 and those who disagreed with schematic way of functioning of the psychologists, i.e. concentration on test diagnosis, limiting the number of sessions and locating school in the centre of psychological consideration. At present, there are three psychotherapeutic teams: a Children and Parents Therapy Team, an Adolescent Therapy Team and a Family Therapy Team. They work on the basis of systemic, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural paradigms and integral approach. They use such forms of psychotherapeutic work as individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy of adolescents and adults, individual and group psychoeducation.
