Integrative psychotherapy: technical eclectism, assimilitative integration, theoretical integration and common factors approach

ABSTRACT
This article presents the basic information about integrative psychotherapy. Outline of history and motives of the psychotherapy integration movement are described. Four forms of psychotherapy integration were defined: eclectic, assimilative, theoretical integration and the common factors approach. Examples of this forms of psychotherapy integration were discussed: multimodal therapy of Arnold Lazarus, assimilative, psychodynamic approach of Stricker and Gold and integrative psychodynamic-behavioral therapy of Paul Wachtel.
