ABSTRACT
The author of the article in her proposed model of therapeutic work with bulimics refers to the concept and bulimia therapy program of prof. Margret Grone. According to Grone's assumptions the key point of the therapeutic program is accepting oneself with the symptoms and ceasing the fight against bulimia, thus parting with bulimia without combating the symptoms. In the proposed method of therapy, the author of the article points out key objectives in the therapeutic process: the subjectivity of the patient and her resources, diagnosing the function of the symptoms, verification of factors fuelling the symptoms, which are referred to by the author as, spells in the therapeutic narration. The author suggests that the patients write, recipes for bulimia. The author also proposes focusing on the defensive mechanisms applied by the sick, as well as confronting the hierarchy of needs, neglecting to fulfill those needs and the related, inverted pyramid of needs paradox
