ABSTRACT
The article presents a review of the therapeutic approaches developed on the basis of cognitive-behavioural therapy, attempting to treat borderline personality disorder. The reader may become familiar with the model of Beck and Freeman as well as the model of Arntz which were built based on the rules of traditional cognitive-behavioural therapy. Moreover the schema therapy of Young, dialectical-behaviour therapy and the group treatment program STEPPS were all presented, which by accepting certain techniques and assumptions of cognitive-behavioural therapy, integrate them with other therapeutic approaches.
