ABSTRACT
The article presents the mechanisms of hypochondria from a cognitive-behavioural perspective. It also describes the newest knowledge about theoretical conceptualisation, clinical and empirical data elaborated in this system. The authors present treatment proposals derived from them. The whole is illustrated by clinical example.
