ABSTRACT
Every crisis can be perceived as both an external and an internal problem, as a situation caused by a particular event that requires a solution, but also an individual response characterized by specific dynamics. Taking this fact into account is essential if we are to treat life crisis as something more than just a, state of imbalance caused by a failure of coping mechanisms. The aim of this article is to analyze the experiences of adult life crises, their causes and consequences from the psychodynamic perspective. Particular attention will be paid to the issue of anger and grief caused by early childhood trauma and the options for solution offered by short- term dynamic psychotherapy.
