ABSTRACT
The paper is a philosophical reflection on the concept of violence. The ambiguousness and complicity of this term is being pointed. The phenomenon is not limited to physical violence. Institutional, personal, individual, and group violence is distinguished. The issue of excuse of violence is discussed as well as the author's own opinion on this matter (with the reference to philosophers' and artists' thoughts).

Submission of electronic versions of the journal to the National Digital Library Polona and the Digital Library of Scientific Publications Academica.
